Biography

Emma Brown passed away pea cefully after a 3 year long battle with breast cancer on October 3rd, 2020. She was a devoted mother to Sara, and Jeffrey and wife of Bill Hughes.

Emma’s life was dedicated to her greatest passion: caring for her patients. After completing her Nursing degree, she happily worked long hours at Chicago General up until two years before her passing.

She would always come home and tell us all the amazing stories about her patients life. She loved playing outside with her children, watching Sara play soccer, and relaxing at home with her crochet. The family would like to thank the staff and doctors at Chicago general for taking such great care of her during her time of need.
